The truth about the Bible, day 17

A book that you've read that changed your views on something.

The Bible.
i know that sounds completely cliche, but it took be a while to get here.
I grew up in Church, but i think for a long time i looked at the Bible like a history book.
In my head, i knew the facts, but i never let it sink into my heart.
Then, after i got saved, i was reading in Psalms and i saw that over in the margin, there was a list of verses that described characteristics of God.
I started searching, reading about Him.

Psalms 105: 7:: He is the Lord our God...
(8) He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
(The rest of this chapter sums up all the great things he did for the people of Isreal- You should go check it out!)
Psalms 106:1 Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.
(2) Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can show forth all his praise?

Once I realized how amazing he is: the creator of the universe, the giver of breath (Isaiah 42:5), it broke my heart that he could love someone as imperfect, small, and lost as me. Not only that, but he gave his only son to die for me (Romans 5:8, Jn 3:16), so that i can live in Heaven with Him :)
Romans 10:13: "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
But, it breaks my heart even more to know that he sacrificed so much, and some people will never accept Him into their hearts. (Matt 24:35-42, Luke 13:5)

The Bible completely changes my views on everything: Love (1 Corinthians 13), friendship (1 Jn 4:7 & 8, Proverbs 18:24), Forgiveness (1 Jn 1:9, Matt. 18:21-35), and even what how I see myself (Jn 1:12, Eph. 2:10, Matt. 10:29,31).
